Empathy is an idea that brings interactive entertainment to a new level. By monitoring the viewers physical reactions to what they see on the screen, Empathy alters the upcoming content accordingly, to try and evoke the biggest possible emotional reaction. This concept of "personalised" viewing opens up a whole new host of possibilities.

The music video we have created summarises the concept in a three and a half minute story. The story adjusts every minute on a key frame, according to the viewers pulse rate, but this music video is simply an example. The concept is designed to be stretched a lot further, to the level of personalising every day features, and even popular cinema. For instance, it's not so hard to imagine having a pulse reader built into your television's remote control.

It's practical implications in our everyday lives may be hard to grasp or imagine, but the idea of entertainment that is tuned to what the viewer unconsciously wants to see, is one that highlights an exciting array of possibilities for the future.
